It’s Friday. It’s time for a quick kick in the weekend pants.
I for one, only ever seem to stop and think about life’s existential questions when I’m told to. And it’s usually only after watching some cheesy motivational YouTube video that I can’t quite stop, telling me something I should have thought of years ago.
Then I go back to being unnecessarily bothered by the tone of the email I just read and think about what’s for dinner. Take-out.
Life goes on.
But they say curiosity is the engine of achievement. Whatever you’re doing when you read this email, what if you took 5 minutes to stop and be curious about the following questions below? To be curious about yourself?
Even if you only take a mental note, it might just fire enough of your synapses to shift your universe in the direction of change.
The Jolt Friday 10.
What worries me most about my future right now and why?
Do I listen to what’s going on around me or only hear what I want to hear?
Am I truly happy in my job or do I just get by?
What do I want so badly that I’m willing to let other things go, to get it?
How much do I complain and what do I complain about?
What do I refuse to accept about my reality, but I know is true?
Do I spend enough time being grateful for simply being alive?
What mistake did I make today and what can I learn?
What makes me smile and have the most fun?
A personal fortune or happiness for all my friends & family? Pick one.
Peace, curiosity & love,
The Jolt.
